If you’re anything like me, you’ve been told before that you’re too emotional. Being a woman (or a sensitive male) we get that a lot in our society. It’s a way for others to say you’re not being logical about something or an easy way to write you off as being undiscerning. Maybe logic isn’t always called for—how can logic know what to say to someone who’s been through hell and back? Our emotions were instilled in us to be used as a natural GPS system and to empathize with others; anger and sadness lets us know that something is really wrong and happiness let’s us know we’re on the right track, to put it simply. Logic doesn’t know unless it has another function informing it, and that’s where our emotions come into play. I’m not bashing on logic, we need it in order to survive, just as much…
