The Dark Moon returns to us on Sunday, April 15th, 8:58 PM CST.

((High Priestess, Seven of Wands, Five of Pentacles, Seven of Swords, Four of Pentacles, Chariot. The Spellcaster’s Tarot, Marquis and Murphy))

April is half over, and for some of us, Spring has finally arrived – here’s hoping She finds her way to the rest of us very soon!

Whatever the terrestrial weather is currently doing, the astro-weather is ripe for some personal renovations and remodeling (check out Ruby and Ichrak the latest planetary dance moves). As we so often discuss, the Dark Moon is an ideal time to set your intentions (personal, spiritual, professional, whatever) for manifestation this season (your mileage may vary – some projects take longer than others).*

The cards serve to remind us of the importance of this Dark Moon energy; we have the power to turn our struggles into our triumphs. Let’s break it down:

High Priestess: Gather your power within and without; wield it with grace and care but without fear or reluctance – know that it is your own.

Seven of Wands: The perfect backup to knowing you have the power you need is knowing where you stand. As The Doctor says, “Who I am is where I stand. Where I stand is where I fall.” You are prepared to die on this hill (figuratively speaking), although you are quite sure you will not.

Five of Pentacles: Having the power you need and being prepared to fight are not the same as not facing struggle and hardship – it rather guarantees you will face both – but be assured that you are both capable and strong enough to endure it. Also, despite how isolated you may feel in the moment, know you are not alone.

Seven of Swords: Often, this is seen as someone making off with something that likely does not belong to them. That is not the case here; following Five of Pentacles, this is about moving away from the struggle and towards something else – perhaps a less visible but more navigable route more easily traveled alone (for the time being).

Four of Pentacles: Resources are in your favor; you have what you need to keep moving forward – quite likely you are stretching your resources more easily as you are traveling lightly as of your Seven of Swords departure. (From struggle to stable by changing your own course, going your own way).

The Chariot: AND THEY’RE OFF!!!! From The High Priestess knowing what she wants and where she wants to go, through the steps taken to get underway, The Chariot is loaded and ready to go. Do not be fooled by the absence of reins; this vehicle is steered by the force of your own will – it takes you where you tell it, so be very mindful of the directions you provide!

No matter what the weather is presenting, this is Spring and the growth energy is roiling around us – the sap has been rising and the best time to make use of this powerful energy is upon us.

Consider this your only warning: USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!

REMINDER: Not choosing is still a choice; if you do not want to end up on the downside of the reading (isolation, struggle, storm-tossed), be a conscious, active participant rather than a rider.

*NOTE: The methods you use to set intentions are entirely up to you but if you do not have a method, Ruby has some great suggestions, and The Sage Goddess has a YouTube channel with fabulous meditations and rituals you may enjoy – check them out, find your method, or create your own.
