WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT GEMINI: Ravenclaw House
Brave Godric Gryffindor favoured the strong
Those who had courage and knew right from wrong
And Rowena Ravenclaw taught only the best
So kind Helga Hufflepuff would teach all the rest
But Salazar Slytherin had is own plans
He thought the Muggle-borns didn’t understand
The subtleties of magic and so he devised
The Chamber of Secrets with a monster inside
And when things look bad and there’s no where to run
Unite all the houses and we’ll fight as one

WHAT I LOVE LESS ABOUT GEMINI: Slytherin House
Our Dark Moon in Gemini – and during Gemini – gives us an opportunity to tune in to our own duality, our most potent twin energy, and find our own balance. Every moment of our lives, whether we realize it or not, we want balance; just as water seeks its own level, and air fills its space, we want to feel ourselves upon level ground and balanced on our own two feet – physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally.
Some would say that like Gemini, we are always seeking our twin, our other half. Generally speaking, I do not care for that characterization as it suggests we are not independently complete – which I frankly dismiss out of hand – but complete or not, we all feel the pull towards harmony. That is our expression of the Gemini energy. At our best, we are everything Rowena Ravenclaw hoped we would be; at our worst, we are everything Salazar Slytherin relied on us becoming. We see the struggle play out most aggressively in Gemini as they seem to have a personality for every occasion, often causing confusion as well as hurt feelings for those they encounter (“May I please speak with the personality that actually likes me?” is my own refrain in these situations). The obvious beauty and brilliance of this energy (and this sign) is balanced by a dark, protective selfishness – yin/yang swirling endlessly within and without.
As you set your intentions this Dark Moon, be sure to exercise your best Gemini traits: thoroughly examine not only your heart’s desires but also your own true motives (i.e. self-improvement for your own sake, or are you trying to turn yourself into someone else’s sex object?). Whatever course of action you choose, be sure to think it through from every angle – this is not a time for capricious wishing.
Let’s look at the cards: troubles come, troubles go, troubles come again. The only thing we know for sure is change is inevitable and we will have no choice but to deal with it. Gemini understands the importance of blending the good times with the bad times, of being upfront as well as duplicitous, and getting the job done – seldom easy but always possible. ((NOTE: Gemini has a reputation for avoidance, and although this reputation is rather well-earned, it refers more to the trivial and mundane than the important or critical. When shit gets real, so does Gemini.))
However you choose to use this energy (or not use it as the case may be), take care to be thoughtful and specific – The Universe is always listening.

Get out and socialize this week! Gemini season is the perfect time to get out and exchange ideas, info, some lighthearted banter, and to make a real mental connection. As an air sign, information is power as well as an aphrodisiac to these guys, so flirt, exchange ideas, flaunt your intelligence or knowledge, and above all, have some fun.
We also have a new moon on the 13th in the sign of Gemini, too. It looks to be a good time, offering us the information or exchanges we need right now. The incredible Annie Heese from Cafe astrology says,
“The sextile between Mercury and Uranus today encourages alternative approaches and new ideas, as well as technical thinking. Intuition is strong, and insights seem to come from “out of the blue.” Original, creative ideas come naturally. We can take advantage of this by solving problems in new, creative ways…
