FULL MOON RELEASE

There is still plenty of time to use the energy of The Full Moon of Winds. I found the below on Facebook (Thank you, The Old Crones Corner!) and I like it very much as a purposeful release – never underestimate the power of ritual, no matter how simple.

Good luck and best wishes for your agenda of personal change!!

((Reading cards left to right, top to bottom.))

The March Full Moon has many names (Worm Moon, Plow Moon, Sap Moon) but for 2016, we clearly have the Moon of Winds – Winds of Changes, that is – speaking not only to the renewal season of Spring but also to this renewal season of ourselves.

If you have been reading this blog (or any other tarot or astrology blog for that matter), by now you must have noticed the recurring themes of change, movement, decision-making, risk-taking, self-exploration, self-development, and personal responsibility. When astrologer Madame Lucy Zolonga (check her out at www.madamezolonga.com) dubbed 2016 as the year of “unhinged” she was not kidding and she knew what she was talking about – the winds of change are blowing the doors off of everything, and believe it or not, it is a very good thing (overall). The stasis and stagnation many of us have been feeling since the 2008 Collapse is lifting; for some it feels like freedom but for others, they may suddenly feel terribly exposed – not to panic as both are powerful motivators to get things done, ready or not.

Let us take a look at the cards; first, we cannot help but notice they are all female in energy, spirit, and visage – perfect for both the Full Moon and its eclipse. Their message is beautifully simple to the point of cliche; stand your ground fearlessly because you have everything you need to do the job and do it well – you have the power to create the life you want right here, right now, if you are brave (and crazy) enough to go after it for all you are worth – your dreams can and will come true if you make it so. Decide who and what you are and be that – no one can stop you but you. Here’s why the dominant female energy is so important: the Sacred Feminine is the Power of Creation.

If we are fully honest with ourselves, we are well-aware the happiest most successful, well-rounded people have found a balance within themselves for masculine and feminine energies – yan/yang working together rather than at odds – meaning women and men may draw equally from this dominant feminine energy with strength and success but only if they are brave enough to get started in the first place. Although it does not appear in this reading, I have previously written about the importance of The Fool (Card 0) as nothing happens until he takes his first step. The cards in this reading presume you are already well on your way whether you realize it or not.

WAKE UP!!! You don’t want to miss any of it!!

Also, as always, make a wish upon The Star – when she appears, know your most sincerely held desires may be near at hand with a little help or direction from The Divine; there is never any harm in asking for what you want, be sure to remember both please and thank you.

If you are finding it difficult to get started on actual changes in your life, I would like to suggest some possible ideas for positive forward movement:

Appreciation: You may not realize it but a little appreciation goes a very long way with most people. This week, make it a point to tell a colleague you appreciate their work on a particular project, or a more general you-make-my-job-easier-by doing- yours-well  compliment. Don’t gush, be sincere, spread the love.

Virtual cut-backs: Seems strange a blogger would tell you to spend less time online but here it is nonetheless. Chances are pretty good you spend too much time down the virtual rabbit hole, and let’s be honest, it is not good for you (or anyone else). Limit your screen time by scheduling it and setting a timer – timer goes off, so do the screens. Spend an equal amount of time engaging the living; play with the dog, have coffee with friends, attend a live lecture, whatever.

Mental re-route: FACT: Habits limit the pathways in your brain. FACT: Trying new things create new pathways in the brain. This is easier to apply than you think; try new routes to the grocery store – go to a different grocery store!, eat lunch in a new restaurant, read a different magazine (printed! NOT online!), order a different coffee or tea flavor, write notes in assorted ink colors – every little change can make a new pathway, and every new pathway is mind-strengthening brain growth.

Enjoy the Moon of Winds and its eclipse, relish the energy and cherish yourself. These are all great gifts, and they are yours.

Happy Spring, Lovelies!! We have another big week with a full moon AND a lunar eclipse on Wed the 23rd. This full moon is in the sign of Libra, and looks to be a peaceful one. Libra’s are also known for their partying ways, so I have a feeling this week there will be some celebrations and peacemaking–hopefully 🙂 Libra’s are the sign that deal with relationships and also have a sense of justice, finding the need to always be balancing the scales. Since full moons always highlight relationships as well, we’ll be looking to see if there is anything off balance going forward in any of our most important or key partnerships. When you think of relationships and partnerships, don’t just consider love, also think about your relationship to your child, or friend, maybe even your relationship with food or an institution. The point here is to
